Maddie's First Halloween

Maddie was a monkey for Halloween. We chose this costume because the first thing she smiled at was a stuffed monkey that hangs from her bouncy seat. So...we thought it would be appropriate. She was in the costume for probably a total of 30 mins before she got too hot and lost it! It was plenty of time to get some adorable pictures.

September and October 2009

Hi - I know I am always behind getting the site updated. I apoligize in advance. September and October were good months. Maddie is continuing to just grow into her own little person!

Maddie made her first airplane trip to Buffalo in mid September. She got a chance to meet her great grandma Persico, her great aunts and uncles (Persico's and some Schofield's). She also met some Schofield and Perisco cousins too! It was such a great trip and I am so glad that my grandmother finally met her!

I started back to work at the end of September and it's been going well so far. They threw me right back into the mix so i didn't really have time to think about it too much. Of course I miss Maddie everyday but I know that she is getting so much love at her day care and I couldn't ask for anything more. She seems to really enjoy it there too and her teachers tell me that she's their favorite. They probably say that to all the parents but its still nice to hear.

At Maddie's 4 month drs appt she weighed 13lbs 9oz and was 24.75" long! She's still in the 50th% for weight and 75th% for height. We've had out first bouts of colds, most likely due to day care but she has been a trooper and not really all that fussy. She is such a laid back kid and very rarely cries. I could not have asked for a better child. Let's hope she's like this forever!

Maddie - August 2009

Hi all,

Things are well with us. Maddie is doing great. Thriving and growing every day. At her two month appointment she was 11 lbs, 5 oz and 23 inches long. She was also a trooper with her first round of shots!

I am going to try to be better at posting more often along with pictures. Here are the remaining pictures from August. Enjoy. More to come.

Maddie July and early Aug 2009

I realize that this post is a few weeks overdue but wanted to post some pictures of Maddie from July. I will post photos monthly or when there is something fun/interesting to talk about. For now - she is growing like a weed!

Here are the details:
Born - 8lbs 3 oz - 20.5" long
Left Hospital - 7lbs 12oz
First drs appt (1.5 weeks) - 8lbs
Second drs appt (1 month) - 9lbs 12oz - 21.5" long
9 days later - quick drs appt visit (paranoid new mom)- rough weigh in - 10lbs 11oz...

We go for her next appt at the end of Aug so I'll let you know her stats then.
A little about Maddie:

She is a great sleep - sleeps from 10:30pm to 5am on most nights. Occasionally we get a 6 or 7am awake time.

She loves her swing and her bouncy seat

She loves her "alone" time when no one is holding her - she's pretty independent in that way :)

She only cries when she's tired or hungry but can be calmed pretty quickly

All in all - we can't complain. She's a great baby and she is bringing so much joy to our lives!

Maddie's Newborn photoshoot

Hello all,

Things are going well with Miss Maddie. We are learning the ropes and each other but having fun figuring it all out. She is a fun lunch partner too!! Its nice to go out during the day with her for various outings.

Welcome Madelyn "Maddie" Grace Dupree

Hello friends,

We are happy to welcome our daughter, Madelyn "Maddie" Grace Dupree. Maddie was born at 5:17pm on June 29, 2009. She weighed 8lbs, 3 ozs and is 20.5" long (and that was with her being 10 days early). She is adorable if I do say so myself. To the surprise of all of us - she is BLONDE!!!! Who ever would have thought I would have a blonde baby?!

Week 35 - Baby Shower

Hi!

On June 6th some of my very best friends threw me (and Maddie) and WONDERFUL baby shower. It was so nice and elegant and BIG! There were probably 45 people there. It meant so much to me to have my friends from Atlanta, my best friends from NJ, my moms friends from Atlanta and family from Virgina and Buffalo all in for the occasion. This child is already so loved and it means so much to us!!

Here are some pictures from the day. Madelyn received so many gifts - I am STILL trying to sort threw all of them. This child is definitely spoiled but loved nonetheless.
