30 weeks and counting! and some extra info

Hello!

(The picture above is a profile shot.) Well, we had our 30 week ultrasound to just make sure all is well and things are on track but also to check in and see how big Maddie is. Apparently, she is quite happy and content and...chubby! She is weighing in at 3lbs 11oz! Now, all babies grow and hit their growth spurts at different rates, but if she continues to pack on the lbs, she can end up being around 9lbs when she is born!

I have mentally prepared myself for a 7.5lb baby but a 9lb baby...thank GOD I am not against the drugs! However, she is healthy and head down and ready to just hang out for the next 10 weeks. Also, she definitely has my nose and lips! There is no doubt about it!

Some people have been asking where we are registered. For those of you who are interested, we are registered at http://www.babiesrus.com/ and http://www.albeebaby.com/ Most of the items are on the Babies R Us website but there are a few things on the other, mainly our jogging stroller.

Dennis and Dad are painting the nursery this weekend. I can't wait to get that started! I will post pictures of the completed nursery once we have it ready.

I think that's about it. I will post more belly photos in about a week. Thanks for everyone who is keeping up with reading the blog. I promise, I am sure it will be more interesting once Madelyn gets here.

Love you all,
Alyssa

Rudy as Elvis

Hello - just a quick post. Rudy fell asleep on my lap yesterday. When he woke up, his lip was stuck under his tooth. It stayed that way for about 5 mins. It was hysterical. Just thought I would share!

Baby Bump 27 weeks

Hello,

As promised last week (although a few days late) here are the latest "baby bump" pictures. I'm definitely growing! Maddie is kicking and moving around a lot but I think she is starting to run out of room so I am pretty sure I will be growing some more by the time we take the next pictures.
I also included one with Rudy. Isn't he the cutest? Although he doens't look to happy :)

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are enjoying the updates.

Love,
Alyssa

Update but no new pictures

Hello,

Just wanted to provide everyone with our latest update. I will try to post some new photos this weekend of the belly. Now at 26 weeks, Maddie's making herself known to the world, that's for sure!

Things are going well in the Dupree household. We are slowly starting to make our to-do lists so we can start crossing things off. Our first order of business is for dad and Dennis to paint the basement, the nursery and the powder room. I would love to have everything done by my shower on June 6th.

We ordered the crib yesterday which my grandmother so generously is giving to us. It's beautiful and I can't wait to get it set up in the room. Don't worry - once the room is complete, I will post pictures for all to see.

We are going to order the bedding and the glider this weekend. Once those two things are ordered, I think we are done buying furniture for a while. It's getting really exciting though and I can't wait to see it all come together.

I am feeling great - no complaints expect for the occasional heartburn. I've heard rumors that heartburn indicates a "hairy" baby. I wouldn't doubt it since she's mine...but maybe we'll get lucky and she'll be more like her dad :)

She is kicking and moving a lot. So far, mom, dad, Billy, Cathy, Lisa and Heather have all felt her move...Dennis seems to be one of the few that hasn't but I think it's his lack of patience to just sit there with his hand on my belly for a few minutes. Oh well, he will feel it eventually. It's so strange though - sometimes I sit in meetings and she will move with some force and it catches me off guard and almost makes me laugh. It's pretty amazing.

We just planned our "last hooray for a while" trip to the beach in Mid May. I just need to confirm with my doctor that I can travel at 32 weeks but I don't think she'll have a problem with it.

Baseball will start up for Dennis again at the end of May. He has a few trips planned for mid June for tournaments but won't be too far away in case he needs to rush home.

It's slowly approaching but I know it will be here before we know it.

I promise to post more pics soon!
Love to all
